It’s the home of great food, unbeatable scenery and fantastic cities – there’s no wonder Yorkshire has so many family-friendly events that you just can’t miss this summer. And with easy transport links to Leeds, York and beyond, Wressle Grange is the place to be to have an unforgettable adventure.

Here are the events topping our summer bucket list, all within easy reach of our group accommodation.

Celebrate rural life at a country show

Country shows are a great day out for the entire family. Immerse yourself in the countryside whilst taking in the sights of Yorkshire’s finest agriculture, tractors, entertainment and more. Some of our favourite summer shows include:

Saddle up

There’s nowhere quite like Yorkshire when It comes to horse racing. This county is passionate about the sport, and you can hedge your bets that each of the nearby racecourses offer a fantastic day out for everyone. The following courses are all within easy access of Wressle Grange:

Adventures on your doorstep

Wressle Grange is perfectly placed to enjoy everything that Yorkshire has to offer. We’re in a central, yet peaceful spot which is only ten minutes from the M62, which links us to York, Leeds, Beverley, Hull, Doncaster and Selby. This means we’re a great meeting point for friends and multi-generational families from all over the UK.
