Based in the nearby town of Howden, this farm café offers great all-day cooked breakfasts and has a deli counter for meat and ready-made meals. Anna’s Happy Kitchen has a big emphasis on field to fork, so food is very fresh.
Bishop’s Bar & Bistro, Howden
Bishop’s Bar & Bistro offers quality food, and you might want to stay for the cocktails. If you’re staying in Annabel’s Abode with your dog, this is a good place to call in for food or drink as they are dog-friendly.
Some evenings, Bishop’s open up their extra space, The Hideaway, for events like tapas or bingo, so it’s worthwhile checking what’s on. Their Sunday roasts are also available for take out.
Bombay Clay Oven, Foggathorpe

If you’re looking for amazing cakes, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea, Kitchen is the place to be – if you can get a table. They don’t take bookings, so just walk in and wait to the right for a table, or to the left to take away your food. Worth the wait in our opinion!
Loftsome Bridge, Wressle
The nearest of the food options, this coaching inn is actually walkable from Wressle Grange. Loftsome Bridge offers more formal dining and afternoon teas, or you can just visit for a drink. Book in advance for food.
Luna, Howden
A lovely Italian restaurant based in Howden, Luna has a broad menu and high quality food. Book ahead of time to secure a table.
Minster Fish Bar, Howden
Keep it simple with fish and chips. Eat in or take away from Minster Fish Bar – and they even offer gluten free fish and chips on a Saturday – but please check before you go.
The Oaks Golf Club, Aughton
Perfect for an evening meal or Sunday lunch, the The Oaks offers a seasonal menu. You could also book into their spa to make the most of the day.
Spuds & Berries, Hemingbrough
Only five minutes away by car, Spuds & Berries is on the A63 towards Hemingbrough. It’s a farm shop and restaurant, which also offers pick your own fruits during the summer months. Food tends to be served during the day, with Sunday lunches a speciality. With a pedal tractor area for the kids and outdoor seating, it’s welcoming for families.
