Our luxury self-catering accommodation is a hit with families and large groups alike. But with so much to see and do both in and outside the home, we often get asked how visitors can make the most of their stay. This blog explores how you can maximise everything that Wressle Grange has to offer. Before we dive into all that, we invite you to take a look at our live availability online and find a date that works for you.
Home comforts
Our cottages and farmhouse are equipped with all luxuries, so you can experience a ‘home away from home’ feeling from the moment you arrive.
Amenities with a kick
From the kitchen sink to a hot tub under the stars, everything at Wressle Grange is larger than life. Each fully equipped kitchen is ideal for trying local recipes. Then, take the party inside or out at the Farmhouse – a night in the cosy games room and log burner, or outside huddled around the fire pit and hot tub? You pick!
Alfresco for all
When it comes to outdoor space, there’s plenty to go around. Each cottage and the farmhouse have private garden with a picnic table so you can soak up the summer sun. But it’s the front lawn is where families spend most of their time playing with our popular outdoor toys, pedal cars, and games for all ages.
Break the fourth wall
Whilst there’s lots of fun to be had at Wressle Grange, we would be lying to say all we can offer is within these four walls. We’re on the doorstep of Yorkshire’s finest places including York, Leeds, Bridlington and more – here’s our list of ‘must do’ activities.
Exploring: Good for the soul
Yorkshire is famous for its pretty villages, charming towns, and bustling cities – and there really is nowhere better to explore them all than Wressle Grange. We’re right at the heart of it all. York is a haven for history-lovers and Hull the city of culture. Meanwhile, Leeds is the best place to look for something new, with a labyrinth of shops in the Victoria Quarter and famous Trinity Leeds shopping centre. If you’re looking for a more laid-back getaway, you’ll find the Yorkshire Coast just an hour away. Fish and chips, anyone?
Things to do: Our top picks
A day out together is the perfect time to make new memories, and there’s loads to choose from around here. How about a visit to the Yorkshire Railway Museum? It’s just a short train ride from Howden village train station. Or what about the Yorkshire Wildlife Park? York Maze is also a favourite in the school holidays. There’s so much to see and do, we recommend putting an itinerary together to take full advantage of your stay here. Use our Explore page as a starter for ten.
Your country escape awaits
We can’t wait to welcome you to Wressle Grange and hope you enjoy every moment; however you choose to spend it!
